Astec's Brazil Made Crushers and Screens Hit The Market

Vespasiano, Minas Gerais, Brazil – March 1, 2016 – Astec continues to see the first results of their new factory in Brazil, inaugurated more than a year ago. In the beginning of 2016, the manufacturing unit in Vespasiano, state of Minas Gerais, delivered the first Voyager 120 asphalt plant. However, their aggregate segment started to conquer market share in the country even as early as the end of 2015.
Right now, the factory is finishing technical delivery of several equipment for quarry Viracopos, owned by famous national aggregate provider Embú.
According to applications engineer André Oliveira, from Astec do Brasil: “The plant has a 300 tonne per hour capacity, and is compounded by belts and accessories, but mainly by jaw crusher H3244 Hydra Jaw Telsmith, alongside two cone crushers 44SBS Telsmith, and vibratory screend, onde of them a 5’ x 14’ DD and two 8’ x 24’ TD Vibro King Telsmith, all of them manufactured in Astec do Brazil's facility.
It is outstanding that Astec is delivering new crushing and screening equipment for a market that saw a strong downturn of 30% between 2014 and 2015.
