Astec Mobile Screens Grows
Astec Mobile Screens moved into their new addition and it has been full speed ahead ever since. The added 27,300 sq. foot addition was needed to keep up with demand for AMS’s equipment. Included in this expansion was a large, 25’ x 75’ state of the art paint booth. The heated down draft paint curing system reduces drying time so final assembly can proceed quicker after painting. The increased headroom in the new addition, plus 2 overhead cranes, 10 ton and 15 ton capacities, makes it possible to fully set a plant up during assembly if needed. The older part of the production facility has 3 - 5 ton overhead cranes, and limited headroom. Larry VanLanduit, Plant Manager, says the biggest advantage to the new addition is the straight through assembly, which reduces production time.
ProSizer
The ProSizer® 2612V is the complete solution for processing RAP millings for the asphalt producer. This closed circuit mobile plant incorporates a double deck PEP Vari-Vibe® high frequency screen with a horizontal shaft impactor (HSI) crusher. Hydraulic screen angle adjustment and rotary screen tensioning system can meet the different RAP application demands with ease. This unit has central grease points and easy-to-reach engine controls for routine service. The quick set up time of less than 15 minutes allows the producer to move around to multiple job sites and process RAP back to its original size. This allows the producer to increase RAP usage while adding flexibility and improved control in mix designs.
Fold ‘n Go 2516KT
Astec Mobile Screens expands its popular Fold ‘n Go® family of mobile screening plants with the introduction of the Fold ‘n Go 2516KT track plant. Designed to meet high volume demands in quarrying, sand & gravel and recycling operations, this track screening plant is powered by a 97 hp CAT engine with easy-to-reach engine controls and central grease points. The 5' x 16' double deck screen is supported by rubber torsion springs that allow for a smoother operation. Operating angles of the screen box can be hydraulically adjusted for various production and material separation needs.
