CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 9, 2026) – Astec Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTE) has introduced the Peterson 3710E Horizontal Grinder, a new mobile solution designed for high-performance forestry and environmental recycling applications. The 3710E will be exhibited at IFAT 2026 in Munich, where it can be viewed in booth FM.810/30. The machine has been engineered to support consistent material processing, durable operation, and configuration flexibility for a range of global operating environments.

The Peterson 3710E balances high‑capacity material processing with transport‑practical dimensions. An optional 2.55‑metre track width, along with an available transport dolly, supports efficient relocation between job sites while accommodating regional transport requirements.

Powered by a 772‑horsepower Cat® C18 engine, the 3710E delivers increased processing capacity and an expanded screening area compared with previous models. These capabilities are integrated within a compact footprint designed to support productivity without compromising mobility.

The 3710E incorporates a suite of intelligent, performance enhancing innovations, including:

  • Industry-Leading Grate Screening Area:
Combined with Peterson’s fast, easy change tooling system, operators can maximize throughput, reduce maintenance intervals, and boost overall profitability.
  • 3 Stage Grinding Process: A powerful upturn, three stage system that improves material fracturing and produces a more consistent, high-quality product.
  • Impact Release System – Protecting Your Investment:
The patented Astec Impact Release System uses air bags to deliver uniform grinding while absorbing impacts from contaminated feedstock. This feature, unique to Peterson grinders, helps safeguard critical components and reduce costly downtime.
  • Impact Cushion System – The Second Line of Defense:
Urethane cushions and shear pins provide an additional layer of protection, helping prevent catastrophic mill damage in the event of severe impacts from foreign objects in the feedstock.

Maintenance has been redefined for speed, safety, and operator convenience.

The 3710E features:

  • A larger grate access door for better access to the inside of the machine
  • The streamlined one tool and grate change system to save time
  • A dedicated maintenance platform for safer and easier grate changes

Together, these enhancements deliver less downtime, more uptime, and a smarter, safer service experience.

Astec continues to strengthen its presence in the region through Astec Europe, headquartered in Omagh, Northern Ireland. From this dedicated European base, the company supports customers through an established dealer network that supplies Peterson equipment along with responsive local parts and service. This infrastructure ensures operators across Europe benefit from faster support, reduced downtime, and a service network built around regional operating requirements.
